Danielia Cotton - Rare Child (2008)
"Danielia's music has the swagger of 'Let It Bleed'-era Rolling Stones. Her singing has the raw emotional power of Janis Joplin. Her songwriting places her among the top new musical storytellers.
Naming Led Zeppelin, Tina Turner, and Joe Cocker as primary influences, Cotton not only sings with a tone that's warm and buttery, she pierces the sky with rock shouts, screams, and cries. Danielia is a force of nature to be reckoned with, and the sheer joy and pain she evokes in her songs draws the listener in instantly and completely.
