Grand Theft Auto IV follows the story of Eastern European Immigrant, Niko Bellic, chasing the American Dream after his head-in-the-clouds cousin, Roman mislead him about life in the United States. Throughout his stay, Niko ends up killing, befriending, working for and getting betrayed by every two-bit scumbag in Liberty City’s slimy criminal underworld.
Like all the GTA games that preceded it, Four features an open world which plays backdrop and playground for the games missions. Whether youa are chasing down Russians on a motorbike or storming a factory with an AK-47, everything takes place in Liberty City.
But like never before, the game creates an elegant coherence in the world at alongside shotguns and hotrods, the characters you meet in your uprising through Liberty City will befriend Niko and invite him to activities such as Strip Clubs, Bowling and a night of Heavy Drinking – Niko’s relationship with the world doesn't stop when the ‘Mission Cleared♠screen pops up.
The convergence of all these elements shatters the jarring disconnect between the missions and exploring Liberty City; the radio, internet and friends will discuss Nikoâ™s most notorious antics, various urgent missions (sent by the game™s essential mobile phone) will start immediately and turning down dates or activities will have repercussions.
